Billy Failing is tearing it up with the diverse music of Billy Strings. In addition to his enormous talent, one of Billy’s secret weapons is his versatile Vintage Eclipse banjo.
Billy credits his Nechville for giving him a sound that works as well for hard driving Bluegrass, slow ballads, rocking blues or creative original pieces.
Nechville is celebrating the successes of Billy Strings Band music with the announcement of a 6 -piece limited edition run of replicas of Billy Failing’s Vintage Eclipse Banjo.

The iconic “Flying Eagle” inlay combines with Nechville’s beautifully durable and versatile black Eclipse Heli-Mount frame for a classic 30’s look with a modern twist.
With a slightly wider and carefully shaped neck for easy playability, Nechville’s compound radius fingerboard is slim in the hand but powerful in sound. Premium curly Maple delivers both beauty and solidness that translates into lots of musical tone. The tall bridge is carefully crafted to maintain brilliance for Bluegrass while leaving sustain for more sonorous and jazzy sounds.
